Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line (Osaka Metro)

Osaka is the city where the Linear Metro was born

As an access means of transportation for "International Garden and Greenery Exposition (Hananobanpaku)" of which was held in Osaka from April 1990, the Municipal Subway Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line, linear motor driven underground railway called "Linear Metro " opened for the first time in Japan. After that, the line had been extended and whole line from Taisho to Kadoma-minami, 15km with 17 stations opened in August 1997. Journey time on the line is about 30 minutes. It is a four-car train now but a eight-car train is possible in the future.
The line runs past such facilities as Kyocera Dome Osaka, Christa Nagahori (underground shopping mall), Osaka Castle Park, Osaka Business Park, Tsurumi Ryokuchi, and the shopping and amusement facilities.
The Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi line plays an important role in enhancing the convenience of users.
